Every since the state quarters first started coming out I really wanted to eventually collect all of them. I started to, but I always spent them away. There was that pizza my freshmen year of high school, the movie my junior year, and well.... some unique lip gloss at the state fair my senior year. (It had little flowers in it!) In my line of work (pool cashier) I come across a lot of quarters. That is pretty much all kids pay with at the pool. On Monday I decided to cash in some of my money for quarters so I could exchange them for the state quarters that I need. I made a list and crossed them off as they came along. Well... I've done it! I've collected all fifty states plus Guam, Puerto Rico and District of Columbia. This may sound totally nerdy, but I feel like I've accomplished something, so celebrate with me! This time I promise I will not spend them away.

i always thought that the PR, DC, and Guam ones would irritate the people who bought the board/holder thingy when they first came out with state quarters. it only had 50 slots!
ReplyDeletemy dad thought paying for a disply board was silly so he made his own. so i guess he can add in three extra places. he knew i would spend them if i tried to start my own collection so he collected a set not only for himself but also a set for Ashley and a set for me.
